This hitch carrier was built with a piece of split pipe or the pipe split when dabbing the modest tack welds to affix it. As can be seen, the malformed tubing has a ridge by the split (probably at the seam), and regardless the cause was painted over and packaged this way. That said, it’s easy to assemble and probably up to the weight rating. It doesn’t rattle when the included stabilizer is used, but I recommend using nylon ties to secure the folded panels rather than the metal clevis. And yes, I am working on resolution, but that is aside my impression of the carrier. Edit: Everything I wrote still holds, but after a furtive and slow start, Vevor stepped up to the plate and owned the mistake. Granted, they should honor claims like others, but I think their offer was above and beyond what one might suspect. I will note all I asked for was another small door, not some shakedown.
