I used this product to replace a broken depth finder on my boat dash. Please see the before and after pictures. Installation of the hour meter was very straight forward. The hour meter fit right into the previous hole in the dash; perfect fit. Wiring was very straight forward once I located a switched power source. Make sure you do this so that the hour meter only powers up and tallies time when the engine is running. *I did not use the backlight wire. The tenths of an hour are accurate to 6 minute intervals. The overall appearance of the hour meter compliments my original white face dials very well. Passengers would not know that this piece was not a factory installed gauge. I’ve had the boat out a few times this summer and recorded over five hours of run time. The performance of this gauge makes it a very good value for the money. Maintenance intervals are much easier to keep track of. Stay up on your maintenance, and you’ll be a happy boater.
