I received my order quickly and I installed the 9007 and 9005 Fahren Forcher LED headlights. They’re fiddly to install because the bodies are larger than the originals, due to the cooling fan design and the remote driver with wire. Wire has to go straight down and you can twist the LED bulb to achieve the best pattern against a wall as you compare it to your original headlights beam pattern.I didn’t have a lot of room but they’re in there and working fine. You’ll have to modify your fasteners, retainers, and / or your sealing gaskets, to keep dust out of the headlights.Light output is significantly greater than original halogen. Beam pattern, in my two applications, was exactly the same. So the light emitting diodes are in the exact same place as the original halogen bulbs. This is good and eliminates stray light and glare.Initial impressions is that it did improve the visibility. But not as much as I would have hoped. Until I sanded and polished the oxidation/haze off of the headlight lenses. After which, the lenses were no longer hazy/opaque, and rendered clear and translucent, which is to say they look like new again! That’s some physical toil, but.. Afterwards, results are straight up worth it. I can see again, and now, with the LED bulbs, brighter than before. My two headlight samples, previously disappointing, were rendered fully functional, but it was some work!You will need to wet sand your headlight lenses, by hand, to at least 2000 grit, preferably 3000 grit. 2000 grit almost removes all of the fine scratches. Depending how bad they are oxidized(faded), you can do that in steps from say 800 grit, to 1000, to 1200, to 1500, to 2000, to 2500 to 3000. Or, if they’re not that bad, you can just get a pack of 2000 grit sandpaper and wet sand away. At which point, you then wet cloth polish the headlight lenses, by hand, with Novus #2 polish, or PlastX, or Magnesium Aluminum wheel polish, or 3M Perfect It 2, or various Meguir’s and others too.It’s a bunch of work, but your headlights will look like new and you will be able to “SEE”!These Fahren bulbs are listed with a two year warranty from Fahren, so register them on the Fahren website if you buy.
