I purchased this kitchen island for my sister’s kitchen. I think it is more of a storage rack than a traditional kitchen island. I hid it until I had time to assemble. The assembly is very straight forward. I think it took me about an hour, probably less. The storage rack is assembled with 24 allen head screws. There is an allen wrench supplied but unless you have almost forever to put this together, I suggest a drill with the proper sized allen head drill bit. That is what I used. Make sure to hand start the screws before snugging them. Don’t crank the screws in as the metal is sturdy but easily deformed. The top and middle shelf are nice and heavy. They look great. The bottom shelf is described as a wine rack but I’m just using it for miscellaneous storage. I noticed that the middle wooden shelf and the bottom “wine rack” can actually be interchanged, if that is more preferable to you. The adjustable feet are a hard plastic. I used some felt furniture foot pads cut to the correct size to make the rack safer for the floor and easier to slide. The rack is holding a full sized microwave and an air fryer on top, 2 other air fryers on the middle shelf, and miscellaneous boxes and other things on the “wine rack” bottom shelf. I think this storage rack looks great, is sturdy and will last a very long time. Unless of course the sister decides not to like it or changes her mind or tastes anytime in the future.
