The Challenge Suspension Kit offers the greatest level of axle articulation available in our suspension range, while maintaining excellent road manners. These are Pin/Pin shock absorbers and must be used with our Challenge hardware, including a Challenge Front Turret and Challenge Rear PIN/PIN Shock Mount. Why use Pin/Pin rear shock mounts?  The standard rear eye/pin shock mounting setup is prone to upper eye failures because of restricted sideways movement. A Pin/Pin mounting system allows greater movement in all directions, reducing stress on the shock absorber and significantly improving reliability. This design has been proven over many years on our Challenge Suspension kit. These shocks are supplied fully assembled with bushes and our bush isolation washers fitted at each end. These isolation washers are important, as they help prevent wear to the shock absorber pin and allow for better flexibility. On later rear axles, the original cup washers are spot welded in by 4 spot welds. All 4 cup washers must be removed, as they restrict movement and can cause the shock pin to break off.  All our shocks come with new cup washers. Please fit them as shown in the instructions that come with each shock absorber.
